Little is known about Jesus’ childhood. However, somewhere around the age of 30, the Bible records that Jesus was baptized by His cousin John. Not only was His baptism the beginning of His ministry, another interesting event took place. Matthew 3:17 tells us that a voice was heard from heaven that said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” Jesus was declared to be the Son of God.
